There are many reasons but most times it's cause social media and movies has played a role into making farmers or farming look like a poor man's job. On all the platforms these days, you only see the glamorized lifestyles of city people with their fancy careers and possessions. Farming is almost never portrayed positively.
All the influencers on Instagram and YouTube seem to flaunt their fancy gadgets and jetset holidays, which creates FOMO in young people who then don't want to be left behind that rural life.
While in reality, modern farming can be very technical with machinery and also provide a good livelihood if done right. But these positive aspects that could attract youth are rarely highlighted on social or other media.
Maybe we need to promote more stories of prosperous farmers and the opportunities in agriculture today to change the one-sided narrative. The government and organizations should find ways to partner with online content creators too to showcase the modern, lucrative side of farming careers. This may help boost interest in young people and address the lack of new blood in the sector.

There are several other requirements for existence beyond food. The lack of competent hospitals, schools, restaurants, and other facilities in the rural areas where a large number of farmers dwell leads many to relocate to the city in search for work rather than farming. That needs to be managed by the government.

There has been this misconception that farming are meant for the old and elderly people in the society. But it is not correct, farming is a very noble profession that has existed even before creation.

i think high cost of food in the market is incentivizing individuals to become farmers and provide for themselves and their communities. It's great to see a growing interest in agriculture and farming practices, and I hope this trend continues to grow.

i think is true that there is a perception among many youths, particularly in developing countries, that farming is a tedious and strenuous job, and this is often attributed to the fact that many of these farmers still employ manual methods of farming. Yes, good technology among European countries is a reality, but a lot of farmers among various of these geographic areas can't keep all their good profits. In 2015, European Union had the curious idea to develop the requirement of a special course followed by a certificate in order to legally follow with farmers' duties. The reception in Italy was a true abomination: to compel farmers to pay huge amounts to obtain and to legally keep the certificate. Courses that cost 300 euros per certificate and its periodical renewal. A true aberration: no farmers since the beginning of the world history faced the requirement to attend a course to get a certificate to keep on farming. They believe that having a career in agriculture will not help them achieve what they want within short time. Actually farming is profitable activity especially if you have generational land. But people nowadays rely on 9-5 jobs that involve software development and this kind of job is believed to be less physically tiring but more stressful to brain. People get paid high with these 9-5 jobs, with more experience.
