TranscribeMe Review.jpg

I found out about this site called TranscribeMe where they pay you to transcribe audio to text.

I signed up, but can't seem to get past the final exam, I'm on my third try. I was just wondering, has anyone tried this site? Is the pay worth the effort and time? Or are there better transcribing sites?

Oh really? I really tried but I can't understand the audio. However, most of the people I know are into english tutoring, etc like 51 talk.
yes my friend, have you tried using otterbox for translating the word from the audio, it used by most of my friends also they use grammarly for easy checking on the grammar. 51talk and acadsoc are good sites also but it takes a lot of time before you get to hit the market of earning 20k in a month. maybe it is for those you do have a heart for teaching.

Otterbox? Do you use it as well? and is the application process easy? That is my worry so far. Yes, and someone I know quitted 51 talk and settled for face-to-face teaching because of salary and stable income.

No, I don't use it but my friends they use it and it's easy to use. It helps a lot to pass the exam. But I have no luck on transcribing . If you are interested you can try it. you can even search on youtube about it.

Thanks for bringing this up for consideration but do your research on platforms before participating in same,it savess you time and energy. A simple cross checking the reviews of the site could have given you all the red flags you needed to see

Oh, TranscribeMe is definitely one of the legit transcription sites alongside Rev, GoTranscript and Scribie. Did you qualify? The thing about TranscribeMe that appeals to me is the short audio files. I have all the required attributes like good grammar, an eye for detail, familiar with various accents etc What I don't have enough of is the patience it requires to transcribe poor audio files LOL
Yes lately I have heard about Gotranscript site , that pays through PayPal and Payoneer every Friday but as other sites they have rough test , for Transcribe me I heard that is a geniune site too .

It IS a very legitimate site that's been around for a long time. But I'm not a fan of GoTranscribe because they always fail applicants whenever they are not hiring, instead of just saying apply another time. What I like about TranscribeMe is that your earnings are based on your score. If I remember right, there are three earning tiers.

Guys, I have no luck in transcriptions, I keep on failing the tests now and then.
Although I haven't tried any software yet but am pretty sure I will still fail the tests.

In my own opinion, the website is very strict about what they expect from you as a transcriptionist, any small error will automatically lead to your failure in the test, take it from me (I have tried the test 4 different times but keep on failing).

I have head about some good reviews about the get paid to write platform and from the comments it seems they have a less difficult test like other similar site. I am looking at trying to signup and see how it will work for me.

Yea, I failed the entrance exam yet again. I think I'll take your advice and move on. I think if speed is a factor, then I don't think I'd be great for that position, since I like to review my work and check it over for mistakes. I'll try looking at some freelancer sites. Thanks for the feedback!
The criteria set for pasing the qualification exam is very tough. I remember a paid to post site postloop, which also initially rejected me several times, but later I improve my writing and got selected. You should also keep on trying.

Even if I'm not a transcribe.me user, I know it as one of the most reliable transcription sites. Transcriptions use to pay good amounts, but there is the need to be overskilled to perform this kind of job. Apart of a high language level, there is the need to correctly transcribe even interjections, overlapping conversations (people simultaneously speaking or one interlocutor continuously interrupting his/her partner) and other similar amenities. I tried to do this kind of job elsewhere, in a platform where the rules where not so strict, but I quitted due to the difficulty: I had no idea how to correctly transcribe overlapping conversations and the system always reported mistakes.

The truth is that it would be wonderful if it were really legitimate, I am a person very interested in generating extra income from home and I really like options where we can develop some skills we already have, such as audio transcriptions and some that they offer by translation. I really root for legitimate sites in these areas.

I have never tried to work on a transcribe site but I heard that it pays well. You can just try it out and see how it goes, I have never heard about the site so I can say anything about it and how it works. I think am going to watch some YouTube videos on how to transcribe so that I can learn some skills.

I tried to sign up on the site so as to get some transcription gigs but I could not. It was later I got to hear that it's not even easy getting jobs, those that are on the site said they only get few jobs per month. So it's not really much to expect from, it's better you try other means of making money online.

Hello,

I had the same experience with TranscribeMe. I tried Casting Words. I passed the test. It starts of very slowly and there are levels that you need to attain to earn higher. I've just started so I can't say much about the earnings but the reviews about them are mostly good.

I tried several times but failed the exam. Decided to cut my losses and move on. I tried scribie and managed to pas the exam at first try. Took a while for me to get gigs and after I got one they came in slo but non the less I am working it. I added casting words to the mix. Passed the exam on the second attempt, waited 4 weeks to get my first gig, nearly gave up since It was taking long, so far only got a few. But since I have scribie too it's not Soo bad

I'm currently applied for GoTranscript and it looks fine to me.
lets see if I will be able to pass on it or not.

Other than that I searched about Tigerfish and Rev but they are not taking new members right now.

I have tried to go past the final exam on this particular website but I couldn't. I have tried on several occasions but it was not just working out . I had to quit. This is exactly what made me lose interest in transcription sites. We must not forget that it is one of the best ways to earn good income online.

Transcribing is not an easy task. I began working as a traslator in 2000 and, at that time, the company I was in showed me how to transcribe from videos and also from tapes (or other means). Believe me, this is insanely difficult and all we get is headache. The tapes/videos presented sometimes are illegible/indecipherable in some parts and for some sites you "will have" to write down what is there. I know it sound frustrating, but it that reality they present. About this site in particular, from almost all the answers I read, what they are doing is presenting something for transcription and when you're done, they tell you that you failed. Believe me, it is not worth it! 😢
